PHOENIX - Thursday was an unseasonably warm day across Arizona. Temperatures climbed to 79 degrees in Phoenix, just two degrees shy of the daily record-high temperature. Skies will stay clear tonight, and temperatures will fall into the low 50s.
Last year capped a string of historically hot years, driven by long-term warming and changes in rain patterns.
PHOENIX — A large traffic backup is happening on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Phoenix. The Arizona Department of Transportation said the westbound lanes of I-10 are closed at Dysart Road because of a crash. ADOT later said the lanes were reopened. Sky12 footage showed a large traffic backup in the area.
Northbound Interstate 17 reopened in Phoenix on Saturday night following a closure due to law enforcement activity, authorities said.
